A Hearing Aid and Other Pressing Needs

I received two reports from Kenya this past week. One from Pastor Francis with some Mary pictures and two Volleyball Mary needs. The other was from Pastor Peter with a report on a hearing aid one of our Kenya team members helped little Felix obtain. Let's hear from Pastor Francis first:

Dr. J,

Annity PicFind attached Mary's photo at school and Annity, they both look good and perform well in their new schools compared to the ones in community schools and we are praying that we find help to send Mercy and other orphans like her to school.

The cost of food has gone up and we are living by grace. If you can find a way to Mary on Railingsend us help for food the better we will be. We sell water to continue feeding the children and trust God for an income-generating activity so that we can have a way to sustain the project.

Thank you and all for prayers and support that keeps the children going.

Blessings,
Pastor Francis

Pastor Francis has regularly appealed for help to develop a revenue-generating project for the orphans and so far we have not been able to help. He has also asked for help in sending Mercy, one of the more mature orphans, to school. Again, to date no help has been forthcoming for Mercy. If you find it in your heart to help with either cause, or can simply donate something we can send to help with their food expenses, it would be a tremendous blessing. Search your heart and do what you feel led to do. How you can donate is explained below.

Felix Pic 1The second update is about the money Janet, one of our team members, sent over to equip Felix with the ability to hear. Here is what Peter wrote:

Dear Janet,

This is wonderful to hear from you and to know all are well over there. Here in Kenya we Felix Pic 2 continue with the gospel of hope and transformation. Thanks for the way you have touched Felix's life for with the new digital hearing aids. The doctors have confirmed his right ear is fully recovered and his left one is responding positively to low frequency and they are looking forward to give him a new high frequency hearing aid for his left ear. The mother and the entire family give thanks for all the support you and the team have accorded them. We have high hopes that Felix will qualify to join Standard One next year and it's the prayer of the parents you can partner with them. We have a picture of Felix with the mother in our last consultation visit with the doctor.

Pastor Peter

Felix Pic 3I hope you see what an impact your gifts can make on the lives of the children in Kenya and their families. I ask that you help us replicate what we have already done for Mary, Felix and Annity by contributing today to the needs of the Kenyan people. I promise that every penny will be used for the children and their needs for education, nutrition and medicine. You can give through my website using PayPal or by sending a tax-deductible check to PurposeQuest, PO Box 8882, Pittsburgh, PA 15221-0882. Thank you and thanks to Janet and team for a job well done in helping Felix. Follow their example and impact a child today with your generous gift.
