Mary is Home

Our little Mary is home for the Easter holidays and home for her is the orphanage run by Pastor Francis at Mary Home 1Upako. Pastor Francis sent me these pictures and this update this past week and, as you can tell, he is eager to help the older girl Mercy (pictured alone below) get off to high school and needs financial help to do so. If God moves on you to help, I explain how you can do so below. For now, here is Pastor Francis' update:

Hi Dr. J,

Peace and all that is good be with you. God has continued to be gracious to us over here and we have come to the end of first term in school. It's Upako Orphansbeen a long term but we are moving on. The rest of the students have gone home for three weeks holiday and I am left with the in house orphans who are 21 since Mary and Anity have joined us from their schools. We are going to celebrate our Easter holidays with them as we remember our debt which our Lord Jesus paid for us on the cross. We are happy because we have always experienced  God's love manifested through you and we are not alone. Thank you for your continued help and prayers. The children's rooms are not well lite thus our request for generators. Mary Upako 2

I have attached photos of the children at our small home. Mercy the big girl is not very happy but hopeful that one day a miracle will happen for her to join high school.

MercyPrayers together as we soldier on in mission. Blessings and Shalom.

Pastor Francis

Pastor Francis is asking for generators, which we can buy here and ship or give him the money to buy there and for school help for Mercy. If either of those projects touch your heart, please let me know. You can send funds through PayPal via my website or by sending a tax-deductible check to PurposeQuest, PO Box 8882, Pittsburgh, PA 15221-0882. Thank you for your help and please continue to do what you can to help the orphans and widows in Kenya and those who are working to help them there.
