"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him . . ." - Deuteronomy 31:19-20a.

Leaders are not in a special class all by themselves. The Lord expects them to follow Him and His ways no matter what or whom they are leading, regardless of how small or large the enterprise iswhether in the Church or out. Your first priority as a leader is to serve Him and His purposes and you will be held accountable for what you do (or don't do) and will reap what you sow. If you don't heed this warning, there are not only repercussions for you and your organization, but for your family as well.

LEADERSHIP STEP: Reflect on your leadership world, whether it is business, ministry, or family. Are you being true to the Lord in what you do, following the precepts in His Word? Are you reflecting His love in your actions and words? Has an attitude crept into your thinking that because you are the 'boss,' you can lord it over others or take moral shortcuts? Are you choosing life and blessing in every situation?
