School Break in Banana
December 01, 2013
Not to be outdone, Pastor Peter also checked in this week with a report on the library and his work that we support in Kenya.
Dear Dr. John,
Once more we are happy to report on the Lord's doings at WAPIS library. The schools are officially closed for the long holiday and we are looking forward to having students home for one and a half month leave. As the WAPIS team we have filled the days with activities that are going to make the students utilize their free time wisely. We have tuition classes for those who did not perform well in order to keep up with the rest. Patrick and his team are busy with Art classes. We are giving computer classes to few students for we have only two computers available for them.
The Christmas holiday is approaching first and we have some few jeans and few sweet shirts that we intend to give to the most needy case. We hope if anything come along we shall share with them. Thanks to all our supporters for making this dream stay alive.
He is the reason for our living.
Pastor Peter
The jeans and shirts are part of the shipment we sent over last year. We are now preparing for the next shipment, which we are sending over ourselves from here in Pittsburgh (since we have so much stuff). This will certainly increase the cost and effort involved, but we will be able to equip our friends with even more resources for their work of community development.
To do this, however, we need your help. Won't you please send a check some time this Christmas season to bless those who have little. I promise that every penny will be invested in the people, with no salaries or other expenses deducted. You can give through my website or by sending a tax-deductible check to PurposeQuest, PO Box 8882, Pittsburgh, PA 15221-0882. Thank you and may the Lord bless you for your generosity.
