TOPIC: Faith and Provision

"If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?" - Matthew 6:30.

God has been in the clothing business since He provided coverings for Adam and Eve to replace their soon-to-be-no-more, fig-leaf outfits. In other words, God has provided and will continue to provide for your basic life needs. Your fretting and worrying about these essentials does not help God in any way, and in many ways it harms you. Are you a 'little-faith' as the phrase 'you of little faith' can be translated? Have you put your trust and confidence in God to meet your daily needs, or are you working and planning like it all depends on you? And what about your purpose and goals? Are you following them, trusting God to provide what you need to fulfill them all?

Lord, I confess I am a 'little-faith' from time to time, trusting You sometimes but at other times fretting over what I cannot control. I have no reason to be one, since You have adequately provided for me and mine. Forgive me as I take today's lesson from nature and apply it to my own life right now.
