Pearl 244: Keep It Simple
Pearl 245: Flexibility

Lots of News from Kenya

I heard from Pastors Peter and Francis a few days ago, plus I sent money for Deborah's school fees to EOTOO.  Here is a report from Peter:

New LibraryDear Dr. John,

At long last the schools are to be opened on Monday and the students are looking forward for the end of the year term. At WAPIS we have remained true to our call of empowering these young ones and to provide a safe environment for them to excel. Here they are challenged to discover their purpose in life. On Your Mark

The week as we had promised has been busy where the students have been involved in sports, training on career, Bible study, dangers of drugs, how to handle peer pressure, and self esteem. We are happy for all the materials all our faithful partners have provided, for this has been a key tool in unlocking the potential of many disadvantaged children. The shelves in the library are now functional and we Classroomthank Dr. John and the team for making this to be a reality through their generous donation. We wish to encourage our faithful partners never to get tired in doing good.

He is the reason for our living.

Pastor Peter

We had sent money over to pay the library rent and to purchase some new shelving to put out some more books for the residents to enjoy. You can see them in the pictures Peter sent (click to enlarge). Then here is the report from Pastor Francis:

Dear Dr. John,

Peace and all that is good be with you.We are well and a lot is happening over here-when you first OurMaryvisited UPAKO and prayed for us, very little was happening, but when we reflect back today, we see so much has improved since that time.

The informal structures have changed, children feeding, Garden2clothes, books, just but to mention a few.The reason why am saying this is because you have been a blessing to us in so many ways and when we turn to God we count these many blessings and say may God bless and reward you. All the beautiful visitors you bring to set their feet in this project have always been of much blessings to the children, to the ministry and the entire Kawangware community where most of the children you are supporting come from. Blessings, blessings, blessings. Amen

"In service to humanity for the glory of God"

Pastor Francis

The pictures he sent are of our little Mary, who goes back to school today (we paid her tuition, thanks to you) and of their little garden they have planted as spring arrives and summer approaches there. Such humble but wonderful folk.  If you would like to help them, please send a generous contribution either through my website or by sending a tax-deductible check to PurposeQuest, PO Box 8882, Pittsburgh, PA 15221-0882. I am going over to Kenya on October 7 and I will be able to bless the people once I am there with wha tyou send.  Thank you and God bless you.
