TOPIC: Organization and Discipline
"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid,
but gives us power, love and self-discipline" - 2 Timothy 1:7.
So far you have learned that God has given all HIs creation the ability to organize and that God Himself loves order. The only thing stopping you from being organized is your lack of training or desire. In this verse today you see that God is ready and willing to help you through the Spirit by giving you power, love and the discipline to do His will, including organize your duties and things. You are not alone when you organize! Have you asked the Spirit for the power to organize your life? Can you see how your organization can be an expression of love to those around you? Do you want the self-discipline the Spirit can give for your organizational skills?
Lord, I lack the discipline needed to be organized but I know Your Spirit can assist me. I ask You today for that help! Help me to structure my world in love and power so that I can serve you and others beyond what is possible in my own strength!
Hi Dr. J,
I wrote to you the other day and told u i felt that i was lazy, but the truth is i don't have enough things to do where i am fulfilled...i believe i have a calling to disciple new believers and those who need help. I do this on my own at home. I also love to be organized and have things fall into place. I love helping Kathy Rae with the volunteers. I am not fulfilled in our current job because it is not what i am made to do...i am a people person. I have a new job, but i just need to wait for new consumers.
I do like your prayer to pray for the Spirit's help...i do pray about everything i do, and i have someone that prays for me too each day.
