TOPIC: Time and Priorities

"The Lord said to him, 'Go back the way you came,
and go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there,
anoint Hazael king over Aram. Also, anoint Jehu son of
Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat
from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet'" - 1 Kings 19:15-16.

In a sense, the Lord created a to-do list for Elijah, giving him the things He needed to do along with the order in which they needed to be done. You also need this kind of list to help you focus, otherwise it is like someone throwing more than one ball to you at a time. You don''t know which one to catch, so they all fall to ground. Are you in the habit of making a list of what you need and would like to do?  Do you then establish priorities on the list, determing which thing you would to do first, second, etc.?

Lord, there are times when I lose my daily focus, and consequently waste time by doing nothing because there is so much I could be doing. I need your help first to discipline myself so I can create a list, then help to focus on my priorities. Finally, I need Your assistance to follow through on those prioritized tasks.
