What would Jesus ask you today?
"Who do people say the Son of Man is?" - Matthew 16:13.
Secular culture often tries to define who Jesus is, with new books appearing that contain fantastic theories that usually try to explain away Jesus' divinity or tarnish Jesus' humanity. Yet Jesus did not ask His enemies or the casual onlookers who He was; He asked His closest disciples. And we learn from the gospel accounts that there was a wide variety of theories among the populace ranging from Him being John the Baptist resurrected to one of the prophets of old. Jesus then pressed them and Peter gave his well-known answer, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16). Jesus is still asking His disciples today: "Who am I?" What is your answer? Do you have a ready response to those who may ask you? Is it clear and biblical accurate? Read John 1:1-18 and see if you can get any answers in John's introduction as to who Jesus is so you can respond when asked—by the Lord or others.
