Grand Junction, Colorado
November 03, 2007
I am in Grand Junction, visiting First Assembly of God pastored by my friend Ted Miller. First of all, let me say what a nice city Grand Junction is. It is located on the western slopes of Colorado and is just two hours from Vail and Aspen, two famous ski resort areas. There are about 150,000 people in the Grand Valley here and the area is growing. The town is quaint and intimate.
The church is located in the downtown area and I impressed with the facilities and what the church is trying to do to reach out to the community. I am doing one of my marathon interview visits. Yesterday I met with five people and meet with another five people today, profiling and talking with each one for 90 minutes. I will speak in Sunday services and continue my work through next Wednesday before I return home for two weeks! I'm already looking forward to my time at home.
The weather continues to be mild throughout the States, which has delayed the leaves changing colors this year. I am in Colorado in November and I didn't bring an overcoat - that tells you how mild it is. At any rate, I have to go and get ready for another long day of one-on-one purpose work.

Thank you for giving your time here in Grand Junction this week. It was a real pleasure having you in our service this morning! You are hearing the Lord correctly, we need to be set free!! By the way... Pastor Ted mentions that we are not big on "Amen-ing" here too, but trust me, we are, albeit silently, taking it all in! ;)I so look forward to speaking with you Wednesday!
