You cannot escape the fact that you reap what you sow. What's' more, God responds to you the way you respond to Him! For example, if you are merciful to others, He will be merciful to you. So in some ways, you control how God reacts to you, once again reaping what you sow! If you need more convincing, then read Psalm 18:24-27.
